John Libby was employed as [CI:101:?2:CI]employed in the fisheries by Robert Treadway...for four years from the summer of 1635 to the summer of 1639. By Richmond's Island, Portland, ME, USA. He immigrated on 13 February 1636/37 to 'Hercules', Richmond Isl. ME. He was employed as "for many years, one ofdthe towns princal planters:[CI:102:?1:CI] on 1663 by Scarborough, York, ME, USA. He married Mary Crisp, daughter of Benjamin Crisp and Bridget (?), before 1663; Scarboro ME..Mother of only Matthew and Daniel. John Libby married Judith (?). John Libby was employed on 1664 by Scarborough, York, ME, USA. He was employed on 1669. He served in the M; "Eight or nine deserted houses belonging to Libby and his children" were burned by the Indians September 7, 1675.[CI:103:?1:CI]. He died circa 1682 at Black Point, Scarborough, York, USA. His estate was probated on 5 May 1683.
