He immigrated on Sailed as member of John Carver's family. (Servant?) He fell overboard during a storm in the mid-Atlantic, and was saved from death by an halyard trailing behind the ship. He was pulled back by a boathook. Gov. Bradford writes about the incident, referring to "a lustie young man" and states "and though he was something ill with it, yet he lived many years after, and became a profitable member both in church and commenwealth." In 1620 to Mayflower.
